anyone used any phones (new or old) through verizon with hal Screene reader and windows mobile? impression, tips? suggestions?
i'm curious. i'd like to stick with hal cause it has elaquence. i'm stickin with verizon, and i'm thinkin a windows mobile phone might be good becasue it would most resemble what i'm useing, mainly windows on a laptop, and the PAC Mate.
I'm sure the Screene reader will be different to get used too, but i'm at least familyea with today screene's etc.
i'm also looking for a phone with a QWERTY keyboard. GPS is optional. might the moldarola q be an option? i don't much care if the phone is new or old either. this is something i'm looking into.
Thanks all for everyone's suggestions.
John

yes howl does run in windows mobile. I have personal seen it run smile. If you want a current screenreader with the sane speach synth then talks for windows mobile will work.

Probably because you spelled it like a noise an angry wild animal makes instead of the real name. Try googling "Pocket Hal" instead. If you want information, go to
yourdolphin.com
to find information as that is the site of the company that makes this reader. I don't use any of their products.

Howl? I know someone who called MobileSpeak MumbleSpeaknowledge. Which it would be if you had Microsoft Sam on your phone.

isn't dolphin working with talks now? that would explain why they don't have phone software. i used hal for a phone once, never do it. that's probably why they no longer support it. talks all the way, either that or iphone obviously which is what i'm getting

Iphone or moble speak all they way. I now own a HTC hd2 it is nice. It fast barely freezes on me. :)
